We will be guided by local Traditional Helpers who will share with us the history and best practices of using this medicine.
Next, Jamie de Koning will guide us through a yin yoga practice to deepen our connection with ourselves and community. While we are holding these floor based shapes we will feel the beat of the drum and rattles through our whole bodies. Next, we will hold space for a sharing circle.

Yoga experience is not required. This weekend training is for anyone who works with children, yoga teachers, and those who feel strongly about children’s physical and emotional health and well-being.
This training will give you the foundation and tons of fun, playful and creative techniques to teach yoga to children ages 3-10. To register and for more information click below.

On Friday, April 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., kids all over the world will be striking yoga poses! Little Lights Yoga is proud to be an official ambassador for the fifth annual Kids Yoga Day .
Kids’ Yoga Day (KYD) is an international event meant to raise awareness and ignite a passion for fitness and yoga for as many children as possible.
Last year on Kids’ Yoga Day, over 37,000 children participated in all 50 states and 35 countries, and this year promises to be even bigger!
Join us for a FREE one hour fun filled kids yoga class. For ages 3 and up. Parents are welcome to stay for the class or there are a couple coffee shops just around the corner like Meeting Waters and Dose.
Mats are required but extras will be available if you do not have one.

A child who learns yoga, mindfulness, and relaxation will be developing essential skills for a lifetime of health and wellness in mind body and spirit. Yoga supports educating the whole child, mind, body, and spirit.
This 3 hour training will give you all the tools you need to start bringing playful yoga poses and practices into your day home. We will cover breathing, poses, games, mindfulness, relaxation techniques and more. A certificate will be given after completion. Please bring a mat (extras will be provided if you do not have one), water and a playful heart to learn and play yoga.
